In the dispute over the transfer of Jean-Kévin Augustin, there are signs of a positive ending for RB Leipzig. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has rejected Leeds United's appeal.

RB loaned Augustin to the English in January 2020. Additionally, the loan deal included a €21m buy-in obligation, which was activated with Leeds' promotion to the Premier League. However, the Premier League club refused to pay Augustin's transfer fee, arguing that the lockdown in England's professional leagues made the purchase obligation invalid.

After a FIFA judgment from June 2021, which failed in favor of Leipzig, Leeds appealed to CAS. On Friday, the court rejected the appeal and again found RB right.
