Bundesliga: Gladbach coach: Union is a "teaching example" for many clubs

Coach Daniel Farke from Borussia Mönchengladbach sees the upcoming opponent Union Berlin as a "teaching example" for many clubs due to his sporting development with comparatively little means.

"The team has high quality and a clear plan. It's no coincidence that Berlin is top of the table after eleven matchdays. They're right up there," said the 45-year-old before the away game on Sunday (3:30 p.m. / Sky) in the Bundesliga -Leaders.

Farke has the utmost respect for the work of coach Urs Fischer and manager Oliver Ruhnert. Union has improved continuously in recent years. "The club made clever transfers, developed calmly and worked upwards. Nevertheless, the demands have not become too great," added Farke. "You don't have to share the same approach in football, but how the people involved have brought the culture and mentality to the club and how the club stays true to itself deserves the utmost respect."
