Bundesliga: BVB climbs to the top of the table for the time being

Borussia Dortmund has taken the lead in the Bundesliga table for the time being. Despite being outnumbered in the final phase, the German runner-up won 3-1 (2-1) at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and remains unbeaten this season.

Goal debut for Füllkrug

Niclas Füllkrug gave the guests the lead in the 18th minute with his goal debut for BVB, and Andrej Kramaric equalized with a penalty kick just seven minutes later. Shortly before the break, Marco Reus put Borussia back in the lead in front of 30,150 spectators in the sold-out stadium in Sinsheim. From the 71st minute onwards, Dortmund, who were weak in the second half, played with one man less after a yellow-red card against Ramy Bensebaini. Julian Ryerson made the final score 3-1 (90.5).

BVB climbed to first place in the table with 14 points. However, several pursuers can overtake them again this Saturday, including the German record champions FC Bayern (13), who will play in the top game early in the evening against cup winners RB Leipzig, who are only two points behind Dortmund.
