Rosi Mittermaier is dead. The BR reports this, citing the family of the former ski star. "We as a family announce the sad news that our beloved wife, mom and grandma passed away peacefully on January 4th, 2023 after a serious illness surrounded by the family." Christian, Ameli and Felix Neureuther", the BR quotes her husband and children.

Mittermaier was the outstanding German skier in the Alpine Skiing World Cup in the late 1960s and especially in the 1970s and won two gold medals at the 1976 Winter Olympics.
