The decision of the Capitol Attack Committee of Inquiry to recommend prosecuting Donald Trump comes as no surprise. In a year and a half, members amassed what appeared to be an overwhelming amount of evidence, interviewed witnesses and amassed hundreds of thousands of pages of material. The recommendation is historic -- and supported by seven Democrats and two Republicans across party lines. Trump is said to have violated four federal laws after losing the election in November 2020.
