Mr. Miller, some historians and political scientists refer to the rivalry between China and the United States as "Cold War II." Are we really in a cold war? Yes I think so.

Why? There are many differences between the Cold War and the US-China relationship today. The biggest difference, of course, is that the two countries have strong economic ties with each other. But their rivalry is increasingly eclipsing international politics and also severely affecting economic relations. That is the greatest similarity to the first Cold War. The relationship between the two states will be very problematic in the long run. And it will have many negative consequences in many regions.
