Survey: Every second person is dissatisfied with Economics Minister Habeck

According to a survey, Federal Economics Minister Robert Habeck (Greens) is clearly losing public support in the middle of the energy crisis. Almost half of those surveyed (49 percent) believe that Habeck is currently doing a bad job - only 26 percent found this in the same survey at the beginning of June. In a survey conducted by the opinion research institute Insa on behalf of "Bild am Sonntag", 34 percent currently attest that he is doing a good job (June: 51 percent).

Habeck is also no longer popular as a possible chancellor: According to the survey, the climate protection minister would currently receive 19 percent approval if the chancellor were elected directly. He is behind CDU leader Friedrich Merz (23 percent) and incumbent Olaf Scholz (SPD, 24 percent). In mid-August, 25 percent said they wanted to elect Habeck chancellor - he was ahead of Merz (19 percent) and Scholz (18 percent).
