All her life she hated the sea. "That was her trauma," says Jovanka Uljarevic about her grandmother. She was only twelve years old when Mussolini's fascists killed her father and arrested her, along with her mother and daughter. It was the spring of 1942 when they landed on the prison island of Mamula, a few kilometers off the Montenegrin mainland. The dictator Benito Mussolini used the island as a concentration camp, it was called Campo Mamula, some call it the "Island of Death".
