It was about Joe Biden and Donald Trump; it was about inflation, gas prices or the housing market; around candidates who denied that Trump lost the 2020 election and others who denied themselves - like Republican Herschel Walker, an ex-football star and anti-abortion advocate who had paid for girlfriends' abortions himself.

It was rarely about one thing - the world outside the borders of the United States of America. However, the consequences of this election will now concern this world, all of us.
