On Thursday, November 24, the "Tagesschau" reported on the budget deliberations of the Bundestag, individual budget work and social affairs. At minute 1:43 of the report, a shot shows the government bench with eleven parliamentary state secretaries staring at their cell phones or tablets. Nobody looks at the lectern. For obvious reasons, it is unlikely that the ladies and gentlemen will be following the live broadcast of the Bundestag debate on Phoenix on their devices. Rather, the scene is an expression of concentrated disinterest, to a certain extent the size of a soccer team.
