Just before the midterms, Michelle Obama's husband came to Philadelphia and talked about America. His America. "We can do better," he shouted. "Politics as it is at the moment is not us." It's really just a matter of a few simple values, Obama said. "Honesty. Fairness. Hard work. My grandparents' values. Values we instill in our children." Ultimately the values of the Founding Fathers, he said, enshrined in the 1776 Declaration of Independence.
