Conflicts: New EU sanctions package against Russia decided

The new EU sanctions against Russia have now also been formally adopted. As announced by EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell, they provide for additional trade restrictions and a ban on other Russian propaganda broadcasters. In addition, sanctions would be imposed on 121 individuals and organizations. You are no longer allowed to enter the EU and any assets in the EU will be frozen. Those affected include those "responsible for the deportation and forced adoption of at least 6,000 Ukrainian children," Borrell wrote.

The permanent representatives of the EU states had already agreed on the new sanctions on Friday, the anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It is the tenth package of sanctions since February last year. In order for the sanctions to come into force, they now have to be published in the Official Journal of the EU.
