The deal seems to be still far from reach. His british counterpart David Frost expressed his regret that no agreement could be reached before the end of July, as had been hoped for by the Prime minister Boris Johnson.

"Unfortunately, it is clear that we will not complete in July, the preliminary agreement on the principles underlying an agreement that we had as a goal" in the discussions, said David Frost in a press release. "Substantial differences remain in the areas the most difficult, is of equal conditions of competition and the fishing," said David Frost.
