ZDF thriller: Natalia Wörner investigates "Under Different Circumstances"

This case gets under the skin of the Flensburg trio of investigators led by Jana Winter: A mother and her little daughter do not return from a mudflat hike - it is a colleague's family. The 20th episode of the ZDF crime series "Under Other Circumstances" also thrives on team spirit - that of the protagonists in the film as well as that of the actors. At the side of TV star Natalia Wörner, Martin Brambach and Ralph Herforth once again act on an equal footing. You can see the new episode with the subtitle "Demons" on Monday at 8:15 p.m.

Since 2006, Natalia Wörner and her co-stars have been investigators together in front of the camera. Director Judith Kennel has also been involved from the start. A successful format - which is also reflected in the ratings. In the past few years, between seven and eight million viewers have tuned in regularly.

A strong interaction of the trio

The three investigators value each other, stand up for each other and over the years have settled and left many a conflict behind. Jana Winter's (Natalia Wörner) son, Leo (Jacob-Lee Seeliger), also trusts his mother's colleagues. And promptly when Jana wants to take her son to a training camp, Arne Brauner (Martin Brambach) is at the door with the news that his colleague Axel Schreiber's (Johannes Zeiler) wife and daughter are missing.

Arne has been friends with Axel for many years and is very worried. Hope sinks when the girl's doll and jacket appear in the water. After indications emerged that Schreiber's wife Hulda (Alexandra Finder) led a double life, Jana - unlike her colleague Matthias Hamm (Ralph Herforth) - does not give up. Did Hulda want to start a new life in Denmark with little Flora? Aren't they dead? Does Axel know more than he lets on?

The interplay of the three investigator characters is strong: Jana, who initially approaches the case rationally as usual; Arne, who is loyal to his friend and cannot imagine that he has anything to do with the disappearance; Matthias, who has no desire to look for a wife who, in his opinion, has run away. Jana is amused by Matthias' pithy sayings, but follows her instinct: Something must have happened.

Then two bodies are found. Who had a motive to kill mother and daughter? In any case, according to the telephone data, Axel does not seem to have been at the scene of the crime - much to Arne's relief. Finally, the homeless alcoholic Edda (Rike Eckermann) helps to solve the case.

The trio of investigators has also already solved a 21st case: Because according to ZDF information, the next episode has already been filmed.
