"You - you will love me": Netflix series success ends with season five

The serial killer series "You - You will love me" continues. Netflix has also announced a fifth season centered around the main character, Joe Goldberg, played by Penn Badgley (36). However, this should also be the last of the successful series and will appear in 2024. In addition, the staff behind the scenes is changing because the previous showrunner Sera Gamble (39) is leaving the series, as reported by the industry magazine "Variety".

Co-creator Gamble has overseen the show since it launched on US channel Lifetime in 2018, and continued that work after the series moved to Netflix. For the fifth and final season, Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo will take over as new co-showrunners. You creator Gamble said in a statement that she looks forward to seeing the new team bring "Joe Goldberg's journey to a delightfully twisted conclusion."

New series creators Foley and Lo have served as executive producers and writers on previous You seasons. The now announced final installment of the series will bring main character Joe back to New York - to the place where his murderous adventures began in season one.
