Fans of "True Detective" can be happy: Woody Harrelson (61) and Matthew McConaughey (53) are shooting together again for a series. This is reported, among other things, by “Variety”. The still untitled Apple TV comedy format, which will initially consist of ten half-hour episodes, comes from David West Read ("Schitt's Creek").

McConaughey and Harrelson are set to play versions of themselves. So they try to live with their families on McConaughey's ranch in Texas. And of course the close environment puts this friendship to the test. It is said to be a heartwarming tale of an unlikely couple "revolving around the weird and wonderful bond between Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson." The two actors and longtime friends are named as executive producers alongside Read.

McConaughey and Harrelson co-starred as Louisiana State Police detectives Rust Cohle and Marty Hart in the 2014 HBO crime drama series True Detective. In the second season (2015) Colin Farrell (46) and Vince Vaughn (52) took over, in season three of 2019 Mahershala Ali (49) was seen in one of the leading roles. Jodie Foster (60) plays Detective Liz Danvers in the new fourth season of "True Detective". Together with her colleague Evangeline Navarro, she is investigating in Alaska.
