Westermann reads: Toxic to the power of three: The Swedish novel "Burn all my letters" is as exciting as a thriller

It begins with a flirtation, a glance, and ends two weeks later with an attempted murder. "A game of life and death," writes Swedish author Alex Schulman. His book is not a thriller and yet it could not be more exciting.

The deeper you delve into this love triangle on the way to catastrophe, the more oppressive it becomes. Also because it is a mixture of truth and fiction, the protagonists in the book were real. "The story starts with real people," writes the author at the end. "Sometimes I've simplified the processes, changed the chronology. However, it's important for me to state: 'Burn All My Letters' is a novel."
