Wellness entrepreneur: Gwyneth Paltrow reveals what she eats a day - it's not much

Crawl out of bed in the morning with messy hair and then treat yourself to a big breakfast. Fried eggs and bacon, with a cheese sandwich - for example. Who definitely doesn't have a morning like this? Wellness queen Gwyneth Paltrow.

As the entrepreneur now reveals in the podcast "The Art of Being Well", she doesn't eat anything in the morning. Because she follows the rules of intermittent fasting. That means dinner is early and breakfast isn't until 12 noon. "I usually eat something around 12 and in the morning I have something that doesn't spike my blood sugar, so I drink coffee," she explains.

A little later there is the first real meal – broth. "I really like soup at lunchtime. Most of the time I eat bone broth. I try to move for an hour, so I either go for a walk or do Pilates or my Tracy Anderson sessions," said the former actress, who is credited for her role in "Shakespeare in Love" won an Oscar.

In the afternoon she does "dry brushing", in which the skin is treated with a special body brush when it is dry. Massage elements should be combined with peeling. Finally, Paltrow "goes in the infrared sauna for 30 minutes, and for dinner I try to eat paleo — meaning lots of veggies," she said. "It's really important for me to support my detoxification," she explained.

Aside from the fact that detoxification isn't medically necessary — that's what humans have for their liver, kidneys, and intestines — Paltrow's diet sounds a bit cheerless, to say the least. Numerous users commented on the wellness expert's statements online. "Is starvation really wellness?" Asked a user, stunned. "Sounds like getting ready for a colonoscopy," one TikTok user commented.

It's not the first time Paltrow has taken a negative stance on issues like nutrition. Her wellness methods advertised on Goop have also been the subject of controversy in the past.
