Waitress traumatized: James Corden banned from New York restaurant – moderator apologizes for airs

Celebrities frequent the Balthazar restaurant in New York. So you should be well versed in airs and graces there. And yet owner Keith McNally was forced to ban a star from his shop: James Corden.

"James Corden is an enormously gifted comedian, but a tiny cretin of a man. And the most abusive customer towards my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago," McNally wrote on his Instagram profile on Monday, sharing two transcripts of his employees.

During one visit, Corden complained about a hair in the food and snapped at the restaurant manager to bring another round of drinks. "And take care of all our previous drinks too. That way I don't write nasty reviews on Yelp or anything like that," Corden reportedly said.

On another visit, Corden was accompanied by his wife, who ordered an egg white omelette. When a little egg yolk could be seen in the omelet, the Briton complained. "The kitchen remade the dish but unfortunately delivered it with fries instead of salad. That's when James Corden started yelling at the waiter like crazy, 'You can't do your job! You can't do your job! Maybe I should go to the kitchen and make the omelet yourself!'" the restaurant log reads. The waitress was shocked but was able to finish her shift.

After numerous comments and traffic to his post, McNally posted another one. "James Corden just called me with a heartfelt apology. Having screwed up more myself than most people, I'm a firm believer in second chances. So if James Corden lets me host his 'Late Late Show' for nine months, I'll lift his ban on the Balthazar immediately lifted," he joked.

"No, of course not. But... someone generous enough to apologize to a loser like me (and my staff) doesn't deserve to be banned from anywhere," he added, inviting the moderator back in his restaurant. "All is forgiven," wrote McNally.
