Travis Scott is back: new single with Bad Bunny and The Weeknd

It was announced for a long time, now Travis Scott (32) returns musically – with a bang. Together with The Weeknd (33) and Bad Bunny (29), the rapper released the new song "K-Pop" this Friday (July 21).

However, the song has nothing to do with Korean-language pop music. Instead, there are danceable reggaeton beats and quite sexual lyrics centered around a hot night of partying that the protagonist can't forget.

The track is already available on YouTube and Spotify, and the accompanying video is scheduled to premiere at 6pm on Travis Scott's YouTube channel.

The song, which was teased at the beginning of the year and has since been declared a myth by fans, is also the starting signal for the promotional phase of Scott's new album "Utopia". It will be his first full-length since 2018's Astroworld. The musician announced the release of a 3D experience "that completely immerses fans in his world," according to a press release.

A project in connection with the album presentation is probably not under a good star: As reported by numerous media, a concert by Scott on July 28 in front of the pyramids of Gizeh should be canceled. The General Union of Egyptian Musicians is said to have disagreed with Scott's "strange rituals". According to "WDR", Travis Scott was accused of Satanism and Freemasonry.

However, the organizer "Live Nation Middle East" has now given the all-clear and wrote on Twitter that there will be no changes to the show in Egypt.

For Scott, "Utopia" is also the musical comeback after the disaster during the "Astroworld" festival 2021. Ten people died in a mass panic at his concert. Just late last month, a grand jury ruled that the rapper should not be charged in the tragedy. Hundreds of lawsuits had previously been filed alleging negligence between Scott and the concert promoter.
