Robert (58) and Carmen Geiss (57) and last but not least their two daughters Davina (19) and Shania (18) have been keeping the German TV landscape busy for years as "The Geissens – A terribly glamorous family". But the luxury family's TV adventure is nothing compared to the long time the couple has been together. On Instagram, Carmen Geiss thanks her Robert for the "40 years you've been by my side".

"We have traveled through space and time to celebrate the anniversary of our love today," Carmen begins her post. "The ups and downs have not been forgotten, but we are still here together. Stronger and more familiar than on the day of our wedding and yet as in love as ever. Thank you my darling for (not always) beautiful years that we have been married are. I LOVE YOU." The couple finally got married in 1994, 28 years ago.

It was fateful for Carmen that she found her Robert: "More than 7 billion people live on this planet. We found each other. Attracted like magnets, bound together in infinite love." After all, more than a quarter of this common and sometimes turbulent path is well documented thanks to the television program "The Geissens - A Terribly Glamorous Family". The family has been together in front of the camera since 2011 and has been offering insights into their private lives ever since.
