Good news for fans of "The Night Agent": After the lightning success of the action thriller series, Netflix has now ordered the second season! Ten new episodes are planned.

The decision was made unusually quickly: Netflix normally waits 28 days and then evaluates how successful a series is. "The Night Agent" only started on March 23 and was watched a total of 168.7 million hours in the first few days. In the Netflix charts, the series landed in the top ten in 93 countries.

Shawn Ryan (56), producer and creative head of "The Night Agent", is enthusiastic: "It's a great pleasure to see the incredible reaction to the show. We couldn't be prouder and look forward to seeing the new action-adventure to share with our new fans."

Based on Matthew Quirk's novel of the same name, the series follows FBI agent Peter Sutherland (played by Gabriel Basso). He works in the White House and one day receives a phone call that draws him into a dangerous conspiracy.
