"The Masked Singer": The first masks are known

At the beginning of September, ProSieben announced that this year's fall season of the popular show "The Masked Singer" would start on October 1st. Now the first masks are also known: As the broadcaster writes in a message, No Name, The Walrus and The Broccoli will perform on stage. Which celebrities are under the costumes will again cause a lot of guesswork.

ProSieben has already given some hints: Das Walross is nicknamed Waltraut and works as a saleswoman in the supermarket. She always entertains the whole business with sayings or singing - a video of it finally makes her internet hype.

The broccoli is "full of energy, vitamins and ambition" and "wants to improve the vegetable image with its cheerful nature," according to the broadcaster. He also wants to "prove that he belongs at the center of every meal".

No Name has yet to make a name for itself. A mad professor built it "to be his friend and helper". But one day the professor suddenly disappeared, No Name left the house for the first time and went "in search of a new friend and his own identity".

ProSieben has not yet announced which other masks and how many celebrities will compete. Even the guessing team is still a secret. "The Masked Singer" can be seen live on ProSieben and Joyn every Saturday at 8:15 p.m. from October 1st. Matthias Opdenhövel (52) will again lead through the spectacle as moderator.
