Almost a month and a half before Disney starts: The new trailer for the third season of "The Mandalorian" is here. Disney released the first teaser in September 2022. On March 1st, the third round of the series about the bounty hunter from the "Star Wars" universe will start on the in-house streaming service.
In the new clip, in addition to the title hero embodied by Pedro Pascal (47), we also see the actual star of "The Mandalorian": Grogu aka Baby Yoda. The child from the same species as the adult "Star Wars" Jedi Yoda reunites with his foster father. At the end of season two, the Mandalorian aka Din Djarin and Grogu had to part ways. They reunited in the offshoot series The Book of Boba Fett.
Now Din introduces his adopted son even deeper into his world. When flying in the space glider, Grogu sits on his lap. When visiting planets, the little one floats next to the Mandalorian in a kind of flying cradle in the shape of a bowl.
According to the trailer, Baby Yoda also gets a fight scene in the third season. Grogu hides in a cave with his flying bowl. There, a barbaric, muscular creature attacks him. Cut. Then we see the man-sized creature fly out of the cave. Baby Yoda floats out with an outstretched hand and a look of satisfaction. The Force is evidently very strong within him.
In the third season, Din Djarin flies to his home planet Mandalore. There he wants to be forgiven for his crimes, as he says in the trailer. In season two, he had his helmet removed in the presence of strangers. A sacrilege that had meant banishment from the Mandalorian circle for him.
