"The 30-Minute WG": Dörte Hansen speaks live at the Frankfurt Book Fair about her new novel "Zur See"

With her first novel, Dörte Hansen made a bestseller in 2015: In "Altes Land" the journalist and writer, who was born in Husum in 1964, critically processed the tendency of many city dwellers to glorify the countryside as a place of longing. The sequel "Mittagsstunden" is also set in the countryside and tells of a fictional North Frisian village and its changes based on the history of the "Dorfkrug". The film adaptation starring Charly Hübner has just been released in cinemas.

Hansen has now presented her third work: "Zur See" describes life on a North Sea island based on the fate of a family - which is strongly influenced by seafaring and the tides. Things get moving when a whale washes ashore. From 1 p.m. Dörte Hansen will be a guest in the "30-million-flat share" and answer questions from stern journalist David Baum.
