The company of Abba singer Björn Ulvaeus has acquired three quarters of the rights to the song catalog of the Swedish musician Avicii, who died in 2018. This was announced by Pophouse Entertainment, which includes Ulvaeus, on Wednesday in Stockholm.

The family of the DJ, whose real name was Tim Bergling, remain minority owners. She had previously worked with the company on an interactive museum entitled "Avicii Experience" honoring the artist. The sale will allow the family to focus more on their work at the Tim Bergling Foundation, which focuses on young people's mental health, the statement said.

Bergling was found dead in Muscat, the capital of Oman, in April 2018. The global star, who suffers from mental health problems and created international electropop hits such as "Levels", "Hey Brother" and "Addicted To You", was only 28 years old.
