Tobin Bell (80) returns as the Jigsaw Killer. After missing his first film in the horror franchise, Saw: Spiral, the actor is back on board for Saw 10. "Deadline" reported the casting news for the shocker, which is scheduled to hit theaters on October 27, 2023.
"What a pleasure to work with Tobin again," quotes "Deadline" the "Saw" producers Mark Burg (62) and Oren Koules (61). "His portrayal of John Kramer is part of the magic that made this series a phenomenon, and his character is an active part of this film."
In 2004, Tobin Bell first portrayed civil engineer John Kramer in the groundbreaking torture porn "Saw." After surviving a suicide attempt, the terminally ill engineer became the killer Jigsaw. He locks criminals and people who don't appreciate the value of life in perverse traps. In order to save their lives, they must seriously injure themselves or others. So the killer wants to show them what it means to live. In "Saw III", John Kramer eventually dies. But several successors continue his murderous work.
Details about the story of "Saw 10" are not yet known. The only thing that has been agreed is that the series should return to the roots of the franchise. Kevin Greutert (57), who has already directed parts 6 and 7, is directing.
