He sees himself as a substitute, as the reserve of the British royal family. A life in the shadow of his heir brother Prince William. A pain that Prince Harry apparently could not bear in almost four decades, so that he will publish his thoughts and feelings in the form of his memoir entitled "Spare".
416 pages should tell the life of the wayward prince. Only in the past few days has the title of the long-awaited play and the release date, January 10th, been announced - and the book is already at the top of the book charts for pre-orders. The memoir is already topping the Amazon charts in the UK and US. The book has also reached number two in Canada, although publication is still a few months away.
For advertising purposes, royal experts still assume that Prince Harry will do a promotional tour of different countries. He is said to have received 20 million pounds for writing down his life story, so it is quite conceivable that the publisher has imposed on him such tasks that are often common with publications.
A source told the British news portal The Sun that the content of the book could be even worse than some people suspect: "The book has been shared a few times between Prince Harry, the ghostwriter JR Moehringer and the went back and forth to editors. There was this extra back and forth that people don't know about. That's because the editors wanted to know more areas covered and more detail on some things that were already included. There's real concern that means Harry had to spice up the book and add revelations that he might not even be comfortable with."
The publishing house also supports this statement. Penguin Random House confirmed the book was written with "raw, unflinching honesty" and will contain explosive new material exploring Prince Harry's childhood and his rift with "the company," as the British royal family is often called, following meetings with Meghan concerned. A source added: "The book is a lot worse than people think."
