(Re)design: Bathroom decoration: How to give your bathroom more charm

Even if we only spend an average of 30 minutes a day in the bathroom (primarily in the morning), the room should be given more importance. With a well thought-out color concept, matching accessories and the right light, you can transform even the most dreary wet room into a small oasis of well-being. And the best thing about it is: The redesign costs you little time and nerves. All you need for a coherent overall picture is a new bathroom decoration.

There are several ways to give the sparse walls in the bathroom more pep: Either you paint the white surfaces with a light wall color (e.g. beige or gray) - this gives the room more depth. Choose an accent color that creates a harmonious overall picture with the tiles. And match the color of the accessories to the wall design. Or you leave it with the white walls and focus on the bathroom accessories. Match the colors of towels and bath mats, shower curtains and soap dispensers. This creates a coherent overall picture.

Shelves and (lower) cabinets, but also window sills offer enough space for bathroom decorations. The accessories that transform your bathroom into a place of well-being are listed below:

It's no secret that small spaces, properly lit, can appear larger. This also applies to bathrooms: this is made possible by installing several lamps. In addition to the classic ceiling light, which provides the necessary brightness, additional spotlights or wall lights can illuminate the room even better. Illuminated mirrors are particularly practical, as they give the bathroom more charm and also allow a better view of the face. If you want to give the wet room even more structure, you should opt for a balanced mix of light and shade.
