Prince William: Visit to his favorite team Aston Villa

Prince William, 40, has once again shown his support for Birmingham-based football club Aston Villa. The royal visited the club's training facilities in Bodymoor Heath on Thursday (March 16) to meet with various members of the England football team. An Instagram post shared by the club and the official account "The Prince and Princess of Wales" shows pictures of his visit.

In the photos, William jokes with a player, among other things, and exchanges ideas in a larger group with the team, for which he made a thumbs-up gesture. According to the club's website, Princess Kate's husband, 41, met with CEO Christian Purslow, 59, head coach Unai Emery, 51, his coaching staff and the men's first team. He also spoke to Carla Ward, 39, manager of Aston Villa in the FA Women's Super League and watched the young talents from the club's academy train.

The President of the English Football Association FA has been a fan of the club since he was young. Prince William explained the reason for his supporters back in 2015 in an interview with the BBC: While his schoolmates would have been fans of Manchester United or Chelsea, he would have longed for a team "that is more in the middle of the table and is more of a roller coaster ride for me can convey feelings".
