Prince William: In a good mood at the football center

Prince William (40) honored the tenth anniversary of St. George's Park football center in Staffordshire on Wednesday. The Prince of Wales met para-footballers, young players and participants in this year's Street Child World Cup.

The talks centered on the opportunities that the 130-acre national football center has opened up for players.

Prince William officially opened St. George's Park together with Princess Kate (40) ten years ago. Since 2012, it has served as the base for the national senior, men's, women's, para and development teams.

Prince William is a big football fan himself and has been President of the FA since 2006. Apparently he infects his family with it: in 2021 he was often seen with Prince George (9) and his wife at the European Championship games.

At an England women's national football team match this summer, the prince revealed that his seven-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte, is also a fan of the sport. "Charlotte wanted me to tell you that she's really good in goal," he announced loudly. "Hello!" and called her a "rising star".

Before their final against Germany, the young princess wished the team luck via video message, which apparently worked: they were later presented with the trophy by Prince William.
