Prince Harry: Royal sets new record with "Reserve".

Prince Harry (38) can look forward to an entry in the Guinness Book of Records. As the Penguin publishing company reports, more than 3.2 million copies of his autobiography "Reserve" (original title: "Spare") were sold worldwide in the first week. This makes the work the “fastest-selling non-fiction book of all time”. According to the publisher, it will continue to be number one in the German, Austrian and Swiss bestseller lists in the coming week.

The book is also a success in Prince Harry's home country of Great Britain: According to "Forbes", Penguin Random House UK said that "Reserve" sold 750,000 copies there in the first week in all formats - hardcover, e-books and audio books. It is thus "the best-selling memoir of all time in its first week of publication".

The book, for which the royal had also given some TV interviews, was published on January 10th. It had previously caused a stir because it was sold too early in Spain.

In "Reserve" Prince Harry writes about his view of the British royal family, his life and his role as a substitute heir to the throne. "I was the shadow man, the support, the plan B. I was born in case something happened to Willy," it says at one point. He also addresses piquant topics such as his first time, drug use or a physical altercation with Prince William (40). The palace has so far been silent on all allegations by Harry, who lives in California with his wife, Duchess Meghan (41), and their children Archie (3) and Lilibet (1).
