Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan: Is the couple already on their way home?

The visit of Prince Harry (38) and Duchess Meghan (41) in Great Britain went differently than originally planned. The couple wanted to spend just a few days in Europe in early September. However, after the death of Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) on September 8, these plans changed. Harry and Meghan have now been in the UK for almost three weeks - and haven't seen their two children, Archie (3) and Lilibet (1), for just as long.

Following the Queen's state funeral on September 19, the two are expected to head home to the United States as soon as possible. However, unidentified sources told the Times that they have not yet left.

Queen Elizabeth II was buried in King George VI's side chapel in Windsor on Monday evening. There she found her final resting place alongside her husband Prince Philip (1921-2021) and her parents King George VI. (1895-1952) and Queen Mother (1900-2002). According to the "Daily Mail", Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan then stayed in Windsor overnight with some other family members.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan traveled to Great Britain on September 3rd. Manchester was the first stop for the two, followed by a visit to Düsseldorf. Following news that the Queen's health was deteriorating, Harry traveled to Balmoral Castle in Scotland and canceled his attendance at the WellChild Awards in London. The Queen is said to have died when her grandson arrived.
