Prince Charles: A baby gorilla becomes an affair of the heart

Prince Charles (73) presented a special heart project on Instagram. Queen Elizabeth's eldest son (96), who has been passionate about nature conservation for years, was given the task of naming one of 20 gorilla babies at this year's gorilla naming ceremony Kwita Izina in Rwanda. "Introducing the little boy Ubwuzuzanye!", The royals write about a cute photo of their animal godchild.

The naming ceremony took place on September 2 during a multi-hour event in Rwanda, with Charles connected virtually. In it he also explains the background to his choice of name: "The name I give it is Ubwuzuzanye, which means harmony, since restoring harmony between nature, people and planet is the most critical problem facing humanity."

Charles was "happy" about his role as namesake. He also spoke about his trip to Rwanda in June this year, during which his wife Duchess Camilla (75) accompanied him. The big meeting of the Commonwealth nations took place in the capital Kigali. The royal couple also visited a wildlife sanctuary during their stay.
