Prince Andrew: Swiss Chalet Sale "Completed"

The sale of Prince Andrew's (62) Swiss luxury chalet is "complete". A spokesman confirmed this to the Telegraph. According to this, Andrew has sold his property in the canton of Valais for 19 million pounds (about 21 million euros) to a British family.

The son of Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) is said to have been trying to sell the luxury home in the popular ski resort of Verbier since 2020, among other things to pay the remaining legal fees from the court case against Virginia Roberts Giuffre (39). Andrews' £1.6million "business debt" legal battle has been going on for more than a year, the report says.

The chalet will have, among other things, seven bedrooms, an indoor pool and a sauna. It is not known exactly who the new owners are.

Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson (63) are said to have paid the sum of 19 million pounds for the property in 2014. At the beginning of May 2021, "The Sun" reported, among other things, that a lawsuit had been filed against Andrew and Fergie because of the house.

The reason: for several months, the two had failed to pay an installment in the millions for the luxury property. The allegedly outstanding £6.6 million (€7.9 million) has now been settled. Only then was Andrew able to sell the house at all.
