A police operation by Süher Özlügül (Sophie Dal) and Henk Cassens (Maxim Mehmet) turns out to be a false alarm. Hanno Schlueter (Alexander Beyer) is apparently suffering from paranoia, and there is no trace of the alleged burglar. But then Schlueter's wife Femke (Anja Pahl), a scientist for maritime biotechnology, is found dead. Could Süher and Henk have prevented Femke's death if they had believed Hanno? Brockhorst (Felix Vörtler) makes solving the murder a top priority.

as dr Martin Harris (Liam Neeson) wakes up from a coma after a serious car accident, his life is upside down: his wife no longer recognizes him, another man has taken his identity and a killer is chasing him. Harris begins to question his sanity. In order to win back his wife and his old life, he tracks down the taxi driver (Diane Kruger) who saved him in the accident. She and former Stasi agent Jürgen (Bruno Ganz) are his only allies in the fight for his identity against an overwhelming opponent.
A client of Alex's (Ina Paule Klink) is found dead after a joint appointment. Alex then disappeared without a trace. At Overbeck, she is now the prime suspect in a murder case. However, Wilsberg (Leonard Lansink) and Ekki (Oliver Korittke) believe Alex has been kidnapped. The only lead they have is a Native American figure. Alex had received this as a gift from her client and passed it on to Wilsberg, who sold it to a junk dealer. As soon as the two friends start their search, the second body falls at Ekki's feet - out of the window of an apartment building.
