Fritzie Kühne (Tanja Wedhorn) can't believe her luck: she's healthy! Not cured, but healthy - incredibly relieving news after surgery, radiation and rehabilitation. At school, after her rehabilitation break of several months, she not only encounters a class that is exhausted from homeschooling and alternating lessons, but also the student Carlotta (Anna Suzuki), who has learned over the years to hide her dyslexia from everyone.

Abbie Campbell (Luisa-Céline Gaffron) is in prison for murder, she stabbed her sleeping husband. The background to the brutal act was never clarified, Abbie had refused any statement at the time.
