The young Adam Moser dies in a motorbike accident at night. But the death raises questions and finally leads the inspectors Ivo Batic (Miroslav Nemec) and Franz Leitmayr (Udo Wachtveitl) to Munich's Hasenbergl. Here the deceased lived with his girlfriend in a small bungalow in the middle of the district's anonymous high-rise buildings. In the house next door lives old Hackl (Burghart Klaußner), a well-known troublemaker whose anger potential is not only notorious among the Munich police: did he have something against Adam?

Fabian Anders (Moritz Treuenfels) is a successful Leipzig couples therapist, but his own marriage poses great challenges for him. After more than ten years, Fabian's relationship with the two-wheeler mechanic Paula (Bettina Burchard) seems to have come to an end. But instead of tearing themselves apart, the Anders decided to do things differently as a family with two children - with the Nest model! Fabian and Paula want to hire a grandmother or grandfather. Two candidates are invited to the Anders family's old farmhouse: Ibrahim Yildiz (Vedat Erincin), a Turkish carpenter and recently widowed, and Moni Berner (Ramona Kunze-Libnow), a globetrotter who has fallen into poverty in old age.

Earth is expected to be hit by a powerful comet. Only a few people are chosen for a rescue operation, including the Garrity family, who make their way to the rally point as chaos ensues. But when they get there, they find out that their sick son's name was accidentally on the list and he is not allowed to go. To make matters worse, the family is separated in the chaos at the airport, and father John (Gerard Butler) suddenly finds himself alone on the plane. At the last minute he can leave the plane and start the difficult search for his wife and child - in a world in a state of emergency.

Graz detective Sandra Mohr (Miriam Stein) and her boss Sascha Bergmann (Hary Prinz) are investigating in the remote Mürztal valley to solve a bizarre death: entrepreneur Walter Fürst (Christian Strasser) is lying dead in his own bed - with strangulation marks on his neck. His family, above all the strict matriarch Pauline Fürst (Gisela Schneeberger), refuses to ask too direct questions. She wants to avoid a scandal like years ago, when a former employee (Julian Weigend) was convicted of raping her daughter-in-law Magdalena (Anna Rot).
