Jakob Stiller (Ulrich Noethen) has settled in well in Wendland and has come to terms with his new office. One morning an unknown man, a kind of "Kaspar Hauser" figure, appears in his garden. Stiller takes the injured man to the hospital, but can't find out anything other than his name, Remy Luger (Christoph Bach). The man remains silent. A few hours later, the body of the young gardener Niklas Kiehn (Severin Mauchle) is found. When Stiller visits the unknown man again in the hospital, he meets Eva Sorrow (Hedi Kriegskotte), wife of an influential local landowner. She is visibly shaken and wants to help Remy.

She is not approached on dating portals, ignored in the bar and referred to the online site for plus sizes in stylish fashion boutiques: Renee (Amy Schumer) is sure that this rejection has to do with her supposedly “average” appearance. However, when she develops a completely new self-confidence after a fall in the gym and a traumatic brain injury, luck seems to follow her. If only the new magic would last longer.

However, she cannot put aside the pain of having spent most of her life without her family. The festival ends with an argument. When Agnieszka was found strangled the next day, forensic scientist Dr. Viktoria Wex (Claudia Eisinger), village police officer Leon Pawlak (Sebastian Hülk) and inspector Zofia Kowalska (Karolina Lodyga) visit the relatives.
