The Austrian actor Peter Weck (92) had a stroke in late summer. His son Philipp (52) confirmed this to the "Bild" newspaper. The seizure affected Weck's right side of the body. At times, the "I'm Marrying a Family" star was unable to speak after the incident. After six weeks of rehabilitation, Weck is now back home in Vienna, where, according to his son, he still needs care. With a physiotherapist, he works on himself every day to learn to walk again.

The actor Peter Weck, who was born in Vienna, initially worked as a stage actor and made his film debut in 1954 in "And the sky laughs at it". In 1955 he appeared in the first "Sissi" film as Archduke Karl-Ludwig. From the 1960s he also became known to a broader TV audience and initially presented music programs such as "We Make Music".

His role in the cult series "I Marry a Family" (1983-1986) is still unforgettable today. For 14 episodes, the Austrian inspired an audience of millions in his prime role as Werner Schumann. He was later seen in popular TV formats such as "Das Traumschiff", "Tatort" or the "Traumhotel". Countless prizes line Weck's long career, including two Bambis, three Golden Cameras and the platinum "Romy" for his life's work.
