"Outlander": The first trailer for the seventh season is here

Just in time for Christmas, fans of the fantasy series "Outlander" will receive a first teaser trailer for the upcoming seventh season. In the approximately 35-second preview clip of the US premium cable channel Starz, the main character of the series, Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe, 43), once again seems to be facing hard times. The clip also reveals that the seventh season of the romantic time travel show will premiere in summer 2023.

The dramatic video for the new "Outlander" episodes already hints at some key moments from the eagerly awaited seventh installment of the series. The Fraser family's home seems to be on fire. Clearing work can be seen. Claire and Jamie's (Sam Heughan, 42) daughter Brianna (Sophie Skelton, 28) is reportedly giving birth to another child and a funeral will be held. Most shocking, however, is the sight of the time-travelling protagonist, Claire, with a noose around her neck.

Starz has announced a number of new cast members for the seventh season of "Outlander". Charles Vandervaart (22) will play William Ransom, the illegitimate son of the main character Jamie Fraser, who was previously seen in the series as a child. Izzy Meikle-Small (26) embodies the character Rachel Hunter, Joey Phillips her series brother Denzell Hunter.
