With the greatest hits collection "The longing is my helmsman - the best of 10 years" Santiano have taken over the top of the German album charts. It is already the seventh number one work by the band from Schleswig-Holstein, as GfK Entertainment announced on Friday.

The quintet leaves big names behind: Die Ärzte ("Planet Punk") are second, Pink Floyd ("Animals") follow in third place. Both bands have reissued their classics again. The Swiss Vincent Gross enters fourth place with "Frei". Luciano ("Majestic") falls back from the two to the five.

But the rapper returns to the top of the single charts with "Bamba" (with Aitch feat. BIA). Second is Nina Chuba ("Wildberry Lillet"), third place goes to Sam Smith
