Next Netflix record: "Dahmer" continues on the road to success

The controversial Netflix hit "Dahmer - Monster: The Story of Jeffrey Dahmer" celebrates the next record. The true crime series about the notorious US serial killer was watched 299.84 million hours in week two. This makes "Dahmer" one of the most-watched English-language Netflix series in a single week. In the first week it was already 196.2 million hours - the most successful restart of all time.

Among other things, the second season of "Bridgerton" was exceeded, which brought it to 252 million hours after one week. Only the fourth season of "Stranger Things" was able to record a higher number than "Dahmer" in a single week: the first part was watched 301 million hours in one week, the second part then 335 hours.

"Dahmer" continues to lead the top 10 most streamed series in many countries, including Germany and the United States.

At the center of the true crime series by "American Horror Story" creator Ryan Murphy (56) is Jeffrey Dahmer (1960-1994), one of the most notorious serial killers of the 20th century, played by Evan Peters (35). Between 1978 and 1991 he molested and murdered at least 17 young men. He performed cannibalistic acts on some victims. In 1994, a fellow inmate killed him in prison, where he was serving a multiple life sentence.
