New face at "GZSZ": Patrick Fernandez will be on board from autumn

The "Good Times, Bad Times" cast will be strengthened in the fall. Patrick Fernandez (37) takes on a leading role and, according to RTL, will surely "melt some hearts in Kolle-Kiez". The 37-year-old has been seen in various roles in Mexico for years. With his commitment to "GZSZ" "a childhood dream is now coming true," enthuses the actor in an interview with the broadcaster. Which role Fernandez will embody and when exactly he will find his way to the Kolle-Kiez is not yet certain.

Fernandez was born in Berlin in 1985 and grew up there. His second home is Mexico, where he spent half of his life. The German-Mexican started with acting and then successfully completed his training as an actor. "This was followed by an acting and media career and various roles in telenovelas in Mexico," says the new "GZSZ" face.

He was seen in telenovelas for ten years. After that he had a "little identity crisis" and just moved to the Mexican city of Cancún. "In 2015 I came to Germany for a film - behind the camera." His first "German experience" was "Hotel Heidelberg". In it he played the chef John Lindquist in 2019. Then he was seen in the ZDF Sunday film "Ein Sommer in Andalusien" in 2020. Although he is supposed to cause a sensation in the Kolle-Kiez, the 37-year-old has been happily married for "seven years", as he reveals.

"Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten" runs Monday to Friday at 7:40 p.m. on RTL and RTL.
