Sarah Connor sees the host family from the Ukraine who is currently staying with her as an enrichment for her four children - especially during the Advent season. "We talk about what we want for Christmas. Suddenly the new smartphone is no longer the most important thing, it's more about being together and giving someone a home and a comfortable feeling," said the 42-year-old singer ("Vincent ") of the German Press Agency.

"It's a good and important experience for my children to have and I'm happy if we can give the family a home and a cozy get-together." In March, the musician took in a mother and her children in Berlin.

Connor will be playing a Christmas concert in the capital every evening until Tuesday. She recently released Not So Silent Night, a record containing 13 new English-language Christmas songs.
