"Thank U, Next" singer Ariana Grande (29) received a tip from original actress Kristin Chenoweth for her role as the witch Glinda in the film adaptation of the musical hit "Wicked". The 54-year-old stage actress revealed on The Kelly Clarkson Show that Grande was very nervous and was keen to make Chenoweth proud. So, in her own words, she advised her: "What I really want you to do, Ariana, is make Glinda your Glinda. Sure, you can tip your hat to me if you want, but I really want you to just you are yourself."

The two stars are said to have known each other since Grande was ten years old. The fact that the singer is now following in Chenoweth's footsteps has come full circle. "Wicked" tells the story of the dissimilar witches Elphaba and Glinda, who both fall in love with Prince Fiyero. The Broadway hit is the prequel to "The Wizard of Oz". Director Jon M. Chu is now filming the story. Alongside Grande, singer and actress Cynthia Erivo (34, "Harriet") will be seen as Elphaba.
