The US singer and songwriter Taylor Swift defended the top spot in the German album charts with "Midnights". This was announced by GfK Entertainment on Friday.

In the United States, the 32-year-old recently celebrated even greater success with her tenth studio album: she was the first artist ever to take songs from the album to the top ten of the Billboard charts.

The Beatles entered the German album charts at number two this week with a re-issue of their cult album "Revolver". The pop singer Ben Zucker lands on the Drei with "What we have is forever (The best of 5 years)". The hits by Helene Fischer continue in fourth place ("Rausch"). Behind lies the German folk rock band dArtagnan with "Felsenfest".

In the single charts, Peter Fox is at the top, who released the song "Zukunft Pink" together with the singer Inéz. Sam Smith secured second place
