Movie: Steven Spielberg proud of "E.T.": "Pretty perfect movie"

According to US film director Steven Spielberg, he rarely watches his films - but he thinks one was particularly successful. "E.T. is a pretty perfect movie," the 76-year-old said on Stephen Colbert's late-night show. Sometimes, while watching his films, he thinks of things that he actually intended but then didn't implement. At "E.T." behave differently: "It's one of the few films I've made that I can watch over and over again."

Born in Cincinnati in 1946, the son of Jewish parents, Spielberg became famous with the horror film "Jaws" and became a master of blockbuster cinema ("Raiders of the Lost Ark", "ET - The Extra-Terrestrial", "Jurassic Park"). His Holocaust drama "Schindler's List" won seven Oscars. His latest autobiographical film The Fabelmans pays homage to his parents and is nominated for seven Oscars. At the Berlinale last month he was awarded the Honorary Golden Bear for his life's work.
