British actor Julian Sands is missing. The actor, known from films like "A Room With a View," has not returned from a hike in California's San Gabriel Mountains. Rescue workers have been looking for the missing person for days, as various media reports.

A hiker was reported missing in the hiking and skiing area around Mount Baldy Bowl north of Los Angeles on Friday evening. Now the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department has announced that it is 65-year-old Sands. Another hiker is also missing in the area.

The rescue team's search is made more difficult by severe winter weather.
