Met Gala: The Kardashians are reportedly being uninvited

This year's Met Gala could be without the Kardashians for the first time in a long time. As "Page Six" reports, the organizer and "Vogue" boss Anna Wintour (73) would like to make the guest list for the annual fashion event more exclusive - and no longer take the reality TV stars into account.

The news has not yet been confirmed. An invitation from what is probably the most famous family clan in the world would be a real scandal for the family. 2022 was the first year Kim Kardashian, 42, posed on the red carpet with all of her four sisters and mother Kris Jenner, 67.

The fashion entrepreneur and influencer has been taking part in the gala since 2013 and her outfits are a regular topic of conversation. Last year, Kardashian appeared in a vintage dress that once belonged to Marilyn Monroe (1926-1962). The year before, Balenciaga wrapped her from head to toe - including her face - in skin-tight black fabric.

It is not known why "Vogue" boss Wintour allegedly intends to do without the Kardashians this year - according to "Page Six" some insiders have criticized in recent years that the Met Gala was overrun by influencers.

The event, which can also be described as the fashion world's Academy Awards, raises funds for the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. To attend the Met Gala, one must receive an invitation and pay $30,000. The event will take place on May 1st this year. The theme is: "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty".
